Mary Raymont has worked as a divorce lawyer since 1992 and a mediator since 1996. She spent her professional career working on all types of financial cases on divorce and separation for those who are unmarried. Her experience spans to where a business is involved and she is used to liaising closely with accountants, financial advisors and other experts to find creative long-term solutions to separation and divorce.
Mary also has expertise in child issues arising within families on the breakdown of relationships. For many years, she has acted for children in complex family proceedings, including care proceedings; as a result, she is used to liaising with psychologists, therapists, psychiatrists and other medical specialists.
Qualifications and memberships: Mary attended Queen Mary College, University of London and completed her legal studies at Lancaster Gate College of Law. She trained at Penningtons solicitors and then qualified as a solicitor in 1992. Thereafter, she joined Brachers LLP, a Legal 500 firm, where she remained for over 20 years expanding the team and establishing a strong reputation for all aspects of family law. Mary now focuses on family mediation as a non-practising lawyer.
