Vivien became accredited as a Family Mediator in 2006 and applies her expertise to a diverse range of cases including inter-generational and school mediations. In addition to her nursing qualifications, she holds a Degree in Sociology, a Masters degree in Crime, Deviance and Punishment.
Vivien's pragmatic approach provides a sound platform for resolving disputes of all types especially those of a commercial nature. Having worked as a staff nurse and a manager for many years, Vivien has found her mediation skills to be invaluable in resolving complex issues involving patients and nursing home residents, both within the setting and externally. She is familiar with the complex and sensitive issues that can arise between relatives, patients and staff in a care setting.
Her 6 year experience as a Citizens Advice Bureau adviser has equipped her well for mediation or advocacy roles in employment matters. She has successfully represented clients at employment and disability living allowance appeals. She is an active Church member, Bible Class teacher and is a Lead mediator for religious disputes. She is an avid lover of worldwide travel and immerses herself in a plethora of cultural experiences when visiting countries such as China and Madagascar. She frequently runs in marathons on behalf of a variety of Charities.
